Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain visited Pakistan twice during her 70-year reign. The Queen, along with her husband Prince Philip, visited Pakistan for the first time from 1 to 16 February 1961 and visited Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Lahore and the northern regions.
On his arrival in Karachi, he was warmly welcomed by President Ayub Khan. On the completion of 50 years of Pakistan’s independence, the Queen of Great Britain visited Pakistan for the second time in October 1997.


Addressing the Parliament in Islamabad, he urged Pakistan and India to end their mutual differences.
Meanwhile, she also went to Faisal Masjid where she respectfully covered her head with a scarf and took off her shoes and entered.
During his 6-day visit, he met the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, opposition leader Benazir Bhutto and President Farooq Leghari.
