The Islamabad High Court has personally summoned Imran Khan on August 31 tomorrow for contempt of court.

Imran Khan has asked to withdraw the words in his reply submitted to the court.

He said that according to the court, my words were inappropriate, so I am ready to take them back.

The PTI chairman further said that the court should examine the speech in context, he has followed the law and the constitution all his life.

He said the remarks were not obstruction of justice, nor were they intended to undermine the integrity and credibility of the judicial system.

Imran Khan said that contempt of court was not committed, the August 17 order had already been challenged in a petition.

He said that the Deputy Registrar selected a few words from the speech at F-Nine Park, these words of the speech were seen out of context.

The PTI chairman further said that there were reports in the media that he intends to take the law into his own hands.

He said that every citizen has the right to complain about the misconduct of any public official or judge.

Imran Khan said that the talk of taking action was only related to taking action according to the constitution and law, shame on you all that the words were played in a different way.

He said that Josh used such words in his speech which were offensive to the court, he believed in the enforcement of the law, the intention was not to insult the court.

The former prime minister further said that there was a misunderstanding and fallacy that Zeba Chaudhry is a judicial officer, who is performing the duties of an administrative magistrate on the instructions of the federal government.
