Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Masood Khan has said that big business companies in the United States are relocating to Houston and other cities of Texas and state of Texas is now becoming a new IT hub of USA that’s why Pakistan seeks strong economic ties with Texas and willing for mutual cooperation into other key sectors, including IT and energy to pave ways for American companies to invest in Pakistan.
While Addressing a business lunch organized by Houston Karachi Sister City Association with collaboration of Greater Houston Partnership and Pakistan Consulate Houston, Masood khan said that we are also exploring a possibilities of cooperation in the field of education through affiliation and collaboration between universities of two countries.
local businessmen and chambers of commerce of different countries were also attended the business luncheon Leading Attorney Omar Khawaja officiated the business lunch at a local hotel in Houston, while Houston Karachi Sister City Association President Saeed Sheikh welcomed all participants and spoke about Sister City’s performance and Highlighted the aims and objectives of the organization.
At the Business Luncheon, the Commercial Attache Shaista Bunyad gave a brief overview of imports and exports between Pakistan and the United States, while introducing Pakistan’s Ambassador Masood Khan, former Houston City Council member Masroor Javed Khan highlighted his diplomatic career.
The Business Lunch was also addressed by Consul General Houston Abrar Hashmi, Director Asian Pacific Region Jensen Shen, Houston Port Officer Jessica Nguyen
On the occasion, a welcome letter from Mayor of Houston Sylvester Turner was also given to the Pakistani Ambassador by Mayor Representative Nike Luqman. Special Appreciation Shield was also presented by Saeed Sheikh on this occasion.
