KARACHI – Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), in collaboration with Pakistan High Commission, Sri Lanka, organized a webinar on “Opportunities & Challenges for Pakistan’s Buddhist Tourism in Sri Lanka”. It was attended by 65 plus participants from both private and public sectors organizations of Pakistan and Sri Lanka, including Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), Pakistan Association of Tour Operators (PATO), Travel Agents Association of Pakistan (TAAP), and numerous travel/tour operating companies.
Mr. Tanvir Ahmad, Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan, Mr. Riaz Ahmed Shaikh, Director General (TDAP), Ven. Dr Kirinde Assaji Thero, Deputy Incumbent Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo, Mr. Aftab Rana, MD PTDC, Ms. Asmma Kamal, Pakistan’s Trade & Investment Counselor in Si Lanka, Mr. Asif Raza, In-charge Peshawar Museum, Mr. Ali Yar Khan, AD TDAP, and Mr. Malik Azmat, VP PATO briefed the participants about tourism potential and TDAP will arrange more B2B sessions between the two countries.
