IWCCI delegation leaves to attend Beauty Istanbul expo

KARACHI – A fifteen-member delegation of the Islamabad Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) has left for Turkey to participate in the three-day expo titled Beauty Istanbul Expo 2021.

The delegation will hold business-to-business meetings, attend beauty workshops, seminars, take part in competitions, introduce Pakistani beauty products, and evaluate different beauty and cosmetics brands for possible introduction in the vast Pakistani market.

We will get information about the latest trends to boost business, find new opportunities in the beauty industry, industry experts as well as entrepreneurs, and share what is happening in Pakistan’s beauty market post-pandemic, said Samina Fazil, head of the delegation.

Talking to reporters, she said the expo is an excellent opportunity to improve understanding of the global beauty industry and promote Pakistani products as 314 exhibitors from 52 countries are participating in the Beauty Istanbul expo while it will attract visitors from 145 countries.

She said that the expo will give beauty industry professionals accompanying our delegation will get three packed days of educational classes, workshops, and competitions in which they can enhance their skill-set while receiving constructive feedback.

This is the second time IWCCI is participating in the event which promises to cater to all elements of the beauty industry under one roof. This event will help industry leaders and rising stars while empowering attendees by apprising them about innovative strategies, said Naima Ansari, President IWCCI.

She said that the global cosmetics market size was valued at $380.2 billion in 2019 and is projected to reach $463.5 billion by 2027 and we should also try to bank on the opportunity.

Ms. Ansari said that the delegation will also visit Pakistani Embassy and hold talks with concerned officials.

The delegation includes Sadia Akhtar, Musarrat Jabeen, Rozina Lahoti, Shamim Aftab, Kainat Sadiq, Iram Abbass, Amna Ashraf, Saiqa Batool, Riffat Shaheen, Tanzila Riaz and Kalsum Ashfaq.
