Esra Bilgiç is a Turkish actress well known for playing the role of Halime Hatun in the most famous Turkish series Dirilis Ertugrul from 2014 to 2018. She was born on October 14, 1992 in Ankara, Turkey. She studied from Bilkent Univesity and Hacettepe University.
She was married on October 21, 2017 to a professional footballer Gökhan Töre who plays as a winger and the Turkish National Team and was divorced in June 17, 2019. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and First Lady Emine Erdogan were present at Esra Bilgiç’s wedding.
She worked as Halime Hatun with co-actors Engin Düzyatan (Ertugrul Bey) and Hulya Darcan (Hayme Anna) in 2014. This serial was based on the life of Ertugrul Bey who is the father of Ottoman Dynasty; Esra Bilgiç played the role of the mother of this brave human. But she left the series in 2018 due to changes in the new season in 2018. Then she appeared in Bir Umut Yeter with Tolgahan Sayisman and Hazal Subasi. She appeared doing a lead role in a Turkish film Adanis Kutsal Kavga with co-star Ismail Filiz in 2020. Then she also appeared as a lead role in the Turkish crime-drama television series Ramo with co-star Murat Yildirim. As of 2021, she shares the lead roles with Ugur Günes in the period drama KanunsuzTopraklar.
In the love of the series Dirilis Ertugrul; Esra Bilgiç received love and so much popularity in Pakistan. She became the brand ambassador of the Pakistani cricket team Peshawar Zalmi, QMobile and Jazz in 2020. She also worked with a Pakistani clothing brand Khaadi.
She won several Awards; Best female actress in series in Antalya TV Awards in 2014, Best female actress in series in Sosyal Fark?ndal?k Odulleri in 2015, Best female actress in 18. Sadri Alisik Theatre and Cinema Awards in 2015, Best actress in series in Anadolu Media Odulleri 2016 and Best female actress in Turkiye Genclik Odulleri in 2016.
