KARACHI, October 2, 2026: L’Oréal Pakistan has secured first place in the “Sustainability Award – Four Pillars of Excellence” category for small and medium-sized enterprises at the Global Compact Network Pakistan (GCNP) Sustainability Awards 2026.

The recognition highlights the company’s sustainability initiatives and their alignment with the United Nations Global Compact principles covering human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.

L’Oréal Groupe has been a member of the UN Global Compact since 2003. It has also received continued recognition as a UN Global Compact LEAD company for integrating the Sustainable Development Goals into its business strategy.

L’Oréal Highlights Women’s Empowerment

Rehan Saeed, Executive General Manager and CEO of L’Oréal Pakistan, said the company aims to use its business activities to create positive social impact.

“L’Oréal believes in using beauty as a force for good,” Saeed said. “We will continue to empower women by building their capabilities, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, and advocating for safe, inclusive spaces where they can thrive.”

One of the company’s initiatives is the Beauty for a Better Life training programme in Pakistan.

Supported by Fondation L’Oréal and implemented with the Depilex SmileAgain Foundation, the programme provides beauty and hairstyling skills to survivors of domestic violence and acid attacks.

The initiative aims to help participants pursue livelihoods and rebuild their lives. In addition, thousands of women have received vocational beauty training to improve their employment opportunities.

Digital Skills Support Women Entrepreneurs

L’Oréal Pakistan has also supported women through its Digital Literacy Program.

The programme receives support from the L’Oréal Fund for Women and is implemented in partnership with CIRCLE. It provides women with digital and financial skills to help them develop and expand home-based microbusinesses.

Meanwhile, L’Oréal Paris continues its Stand Up Against Street Harassment initiative in collaboration with Bedari.

The programme raises awareness about safe intervention methods and promotes safer public spaces for women.

L’Oréal for the Future Programme

L’Oréal said sustainability remains a central part of its global strategy through the L’Oréal for the Future programme.

The programme focuses on four areas: climate transition, nature protection, circularity and community support.

Through its Inclusive Sourcing programme, L’Oréal works with suppliers to create employment and business opportunities for people from vulnerable and underrepresented communities.

The company said these efforts also contribute to building a more resilient and inclusive supply chain.

The GCNP Sustainability Awards recognition adds to L’Oréal Pakistan’s focus on sustainability, social inclusion and women’s economic empowerment.
