The strategic dialogue explored opportunities to strengthen business partnerships, attract foreign direct investment and enhance economic engagement between the two countries. Participants also discussed ways to encourage sustainable commercial cooperation across key industries while expanding market access for businesses on both sides.
Investment opportunities highlighted across key sectors
ABC President Akram Wali Muhammad said Pakistan offers significant investment potential in technology, energy, minerals, manufacturing and other high-growth sectors. He noted that the country has strengthened its investment environment and is well positioned to attract international investors seeking long-term opportunities.
He stressed that stronger economic partnerships could generate employment, support industrial growth and unlock opportunities for Pakistan’s young workforce.
“The time has come to convert dialogue into investment and investment into jobs,” he said.
Diaspora encouraged to invest in Pakistan
Addressing overseas Pakistanis, Muhammad encouraged members of the diaspora to bring their expertise, business experience and global networks back to Pakistan. He urged investors to establish businesses, create employment opportunities and contribute to the country’s long-term economic development.
He acknowledged that while challenges remain, Pakistan offers substantial untapped investment potential for entrepreneurs and international investors.
Commitment to stronger bilateral partnerships
Muhammad also recognised the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council and the Government of Pakistan in improving investor facilitation through coordinated institutional support. He reaffirmed ABC’s commitment to serving as a bridge between American businesses and Pakistani authorities to promote stronger commercial engagement.
The meeting concluded with both sides expressing a shared commitment to deepening Pakistan–U.S. economic relations through increased bilateral trade, greater American investment and commercially sustainable partnerships designed to support long-term economic growth.
