BARKHAN — DSP Murid Bugti, a senior police officer known for his bravery and dedication, was martyred while travelling to an operational assignment in Balochistan’s Barkhan district, authorities said. His death has been widely mourned, with tributes highlighting his service in defending the country and maintaining peace.
Originally from Sui, DSP Murid Bugti was serving in the Barkhan Police at the time of the incident. Officials described him as a fearless officer who consistently displayed exceptional professionalism, courage and commitment in carrying out his duties.
His martyrdom has renewed recognition of the sacrifices made by police personnel serving in high-risk areas across Balochistan.

He is survived by two widows and 12 children. The family has also endured previous tragedy, as two of his daughters were reportedly martyred in a terrorist attack at their residence in Jaffarabad.
