Sindh Human Rights Department Names Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan Focal Person to Protect Children from Abuse

KARACHI — The Sindh Human Rights Department has appointed renowned public speaker and social activist Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan as focal person for preventing Child Abuse and promoting children’s safety across the province.
According to an official notification issued by the department, Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan will provide voluntary advisory services to support awareness campaigns, coordination with relevant institutions, policy matters and capacity-building initiatives related to child protection.
The appointment aims to strengthen efforts against violence and mistreatment of children by improving cooperation between government departments, social organisations and other stakeholders.
Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan expressed his gratitude to the Sindh Human Rights Department for showing confidence in him. He said he would fulfil his responsibilities with honesty, dedication and commitment to protect children’s rights and prevent child abuse.
He stated that his priority would remain creating greater awareness about children’s safety and encouraging collective efforts among relevant institutions. He added that joint action could help build a safer and more secure society for children.
The notification confirmed that the appointment has taken immediate effect and will continue until further orders.
