Moreover, the financial plan received formal approval from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz after endorsement by the provincial cabinet during its 35th meeting. The government described the budget as a people-focused document aimed at balancing economic challenges with public relief. As a result, the budget has become a key policy document for Punjab’s development agenda in the coming fiscal year.

Punjab Budget Focuses On Public Relief

The Punjab budget has been prepared without imposing any new taxes, according to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. She stated that the government made every effort to reduce financial pressure on citizens despite challenging economic conditions and global uncertainties.

Furthermore, she described the budget as a “budget of hope” designed to deliver relief through the province’s own resources. The government believes that avoiding new taxes will help protect household incomes while maintaining economic activity. Therefore, public welfare remains a central feature of the budget strategy.

Maryam Nawaz Highlights Development Priorities

While discussing the Punjab budget, Maryam Nawaz emphasized that development and prosperity remain key priorities for the provincial government. She noted that Punjab continues to contribute a significant share of resources to the federation while also addressing local development needs.

In addition, the chief minister expressed confidence that the budget would meet public expectations. She praised the efforts of cabinet members and officials involved in preparing the financial plan. Consequently, the government is positioning the budget as a roadmap for continued service delivery and infrastructure development.

Punjab Budget Revenue Generation Strategy

The Punjab budget also includes measures aimed at strengthening provincial finances. Maryam Nawaz directed the Punjab Revenue Authority to improve revenue collection and identify new opportunities for enhancing financial capacity.

Moreover, officials have been tasked with implementing effective policies to increase revenue without introducing additional taxes. As a result, the government hopes to create a sustainable fiscal framework that supports long-term growth and development objectives.

Punjab Budget Team Effort Recognized

During cabinet discussions on the Punjab budget, the chief minister acknowledged the contributions of Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Information Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Finance Secretary Mujahid Sherdil, and other officials.

Furthermore, she said the entire team worked collectively to prepare a budget focused on public welfare and economic stability. Consequently, the government views the financial plan as a collaborative effort aimed at supporting Punjab’s future development while providing relief to citizens.
