Humnava Season 1 reached its closing chapter with a special cinematic screening at Cue Cinemas Lahore, bringing together artists, creators, collaborators, and audiences to celebrate a project that began in Hunza and expanded across cultures and borders. The finale marked both the end of one chapter and the beginning of a larger artistic vision.
The event highlighted how Humnava Season 1 transformed music into a shared creative experience. Moreover, the gathering offered audiences a chance to experience the entire season as one connected story built through collaboration, performance, and cultural exchange.
Humnava Brings Music Communities Together
The finale screening created a space where conversations extended beyond the songs themselves. Throughout the evening, artists and creators reflected on the process behind the project and shared insights into the relationships that shaped the season.
Guests also experienced a live dance performance by The Colony under the direction of Saad Sheikh, performed to Qataghani. As a result, the screening became both a celebration and a reflection on the artistic journey behind the platform.
Co-founded by Xulfi and Muhammad Ibrahim, Humnava was developed as a global music and art initiative rooted in Pakistan. The project aims to connect artists through music while encouraging authentic creative exchange across regions.
Xulfi Shapes Humnava Vision
Humnava Season 1 brought together more than 30 musicians and collaborators during a 40-day immersive music camp in Hunza. Artists joined from Pakistan and several countries including France, Germany, Algeria, and Zambia.
According to project creators, the season was designed to explore how location, language, and culture influence musical expression. Therefore, each performance reflected a distinct emotional and cultural identity.
Speaking about the season’s close, Xulfi said the experience created friendships, community, and creative discovery. He also emphasized that nature remained an active companion in the project rather than simply a backdrop.
Furthermore, he highlighted the broader opportunity to showcase Pakistan’s creative talent to global audiences through authentic storytelling and collaboration.
Darmaan Closes Emotional Chapter
The event also introduced Darmaan, the final song of Humnava Season 1. Filmed at Eagle’s Nest in Hunza, the song serves as the closing emotional moment of the season.
Written by Imran Ullah Hunzai, also known as Ramz, Darmaan explores themes of longing, absence, surrender, and connection. Rather than resolving emotional tension, the composition reflects how difficult experiences can become sources of meaning.
The song features performances by Faheem Uddin Hunzai and Anushah Sadruddin alongside an international ensemble of musicians. Xulfi and Sherry Khattak arranged the composition, while production was led by Xulfi.
Humnava Season 2 Journey Begins
Across nine original songs, Humnava Season 1 explored landscapes, languages, and artistic traditions through collaborative storytelling.
The finale screening at Cue Cinemas also served as recognition for the community that supported the project from beginning to end. At the same time, it created anticipation for what comes next.
Following the close of the first season, Humnava confirmed that Season 2 will be announced soon. The upcoming chapter will continue its mission to create spaces for artistic exchange and global collaboration while remaining rooted in shared human experiences.
Darmaan is now available on YouTube, Spotify, and broadcast platforms worldwide.
