Rotary District 3271 has announced its new leadership lineup for the 2026–27 term, appointing senior media professional Syed Turab Shah as Chair of its Print Media Committee, as part of its annual restructuring aimed at strengthening communication and public outreach across the region.

According to the district announcement, the newly formed leadership team reflects Rotary’s continued focus on enhancing organizational effectiveness, expanding visibility, and improving the impact of its humanitarian and community service initiatives.
Syed Turab Shah, a member of the Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus since 2021, will lead the Print Media Committee with the responsibility of strengthening coordination with print and traditional media platforms and promoting Rotary’s social welfare and development activities.
District officials stated that the 2026–27 leadership team will prioritize improved communication strategies, broader public engagement, and enhanced visibility of Rotary’s service-driven projects in education, health, and community development.
Syed Turab Shah is expected to assume his responsibilities immediately as the district begins planning its upcoming year of service programs.
A seasoned media and marketing professional with more than three decades of experience, Syed Turab Shah is widely recognized in Pakistan’s media industry for his work in advertising, corporate communications, and media management.
He currently serves as Director Sales & Marketing and Editor Special Reports at ABN News / Daily Ausaf Group of Newspapers and also holds the position of Chairman Media Affairs at the Consumers Association of Pakistan, Founder Nationwide Business Network, Deputy Convener FPCCI Central Committee Corporate Relation & Communications, Member Korangi Association of Trade & Industry, Chairman – AZB Global Trade & Exhibitions, Director theazb.com, Former President US-PAK Trade Development Council, reflecting his dual engagement in media leadership and public advocacy.
Over the course of his career, he has held senior positions at leading national publications including Pakistan Observer, Pakistan Today, and The Nation (Nawa-i-Waqt Group), building a career spanning nearly four decades in Pakistan’s print media sector.
He has played a key role in designing and executing large-scale advertising and media campaigns across print, electronic, digital, outdoor, and social media platforms, working with government departments, diplomatic missions, corporate clients, FMCG companies, and media agencies.
He is also known for introducing innovative revenue-generation strategies, including special supplements linked to international events and national days, as well as diplomatic and corporate branding initiatives that strengthened media-client engagement.
Beyond media, he has contributed to international business and event management, including organizing Pakistan Property Shows in Manchester, Frankfurt, and Paris, promoting overseas investment opportunities.
Widely respected for his expertise in strategic communication, brand development, and sales leadership, Syed Turab Shah is regarded as a key figure connecting media institutions, diplomatic circles, and the corporate sector in Pakistan.
With nearly four decades of professional experience, his appointment at Rotary District 3271 is seen as a step toward strengthening media outreach and enhancing the visibility of the organization’s humanitarian mission.
