NEW YORK : Do you often suffer from various stomach problems, especially constipation? If yes, then this may be due to a common habit of yours. Yes, the habit of eating late at night affects intestinal function, which has negative effects on the health of the digestive system. This study by New York Medical College analyzed data from more than 11,000 people. The study found that people who consume more than 25 percent of their daily calories after 9 p.m. are 1.7 times more likely to suffer from constipation and diarrhea than others. Later, it was discovered that people who are stressed and eat late at night are two and a half times more likely to suffer from constipation or other digestive problems.
