Chairman CAP Kaukab Iqbal met Managing Director SSGC Amin Rajput and highlighted discrepancies between officially announced gas supply schedules and actual supply timings. He noted that delays in morning gas availability and early shutdowns are causing significant hardship for households.
Iqbal stressed that the issue is particularly affecting families, especially women responsible for daily meal preparation, due to unpredictable gas pressure and timing inconsistencies.
The meeting was attended by senior SSGC officials, including representatives from operations, customer relations, and corporate communications departments.
In response, SSGC Managing Director Amin Rajput said the company is operating under severe energy constraints amid the ongoing gas crisis and limited LNG availability. He emphasized that supply management has become increasingly challenging for both domestic and industrial sectors.
He also appealed to consumers to practice energy conservation and reduce unnecessary gas usage to help stabilize the system.
CAP reiterated its demand for strict implementation of announced schedules to reduce public inconvenience, while SSGC assured that the concerns raised would be reviewed and necessary improvements would be considered.
