Atletico Madrid knocked FC Barcelona out of the UEFA Champions League with a 3-2 aggregate victory, despite a 2-1 defeat in the second leg of their quarter-final clash on Tuesday.

Barcelona made a blistering start at the Metropolitano Stadium, with teenage sensation Lamine Yamal opening the scoring inside four minutes before Ferran Torres doubled the lead in the 24th minute, levelling the tie on aggregate.

However, Atletico responded through Ademola Lookman, whose crucial goal in the 31st minute restored the hosts’ aggregate advantage following their 2-0 first-leg win.
