Organised under the leadership of Chairperson Sophiya Warraich, the event brought together prominent figures from the entertainment and business sectors, along with social welfare stakeholders.
Actors Humayun Saeed and Muneeb Butt attended the ceremony as goodwill ambassadors, appreciating the foundation’s efforts to support underprivileged communities.
The event was hosted by Karachi Chapter Head Danish Aman, while Dr. Farhan Essa expressed full support for humanitarian initiatives during his address. Almarah Foundation member Zeeshan Habib also highlighted the organisation’s expanding welfare vision.
A key highlight of the event was the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). One agreement was signed with Essa Laboratory, while the second was concluded with the Defence Residents Social Welfare Association for the “Izzat ki Roti” initiative, which aims to provide subsidised and dignified meals to deserving individuals.
The event also featured a live musical performance by singer NS Chauhan, adding a cultural touch to the proceedings.
Organisers said the initiative reflects growing collaboration between welfare organisations and private sector partners to address food insecurity and social support challenges in Karachi. A large number of business community members attended and pledged support for future initiatives.
