Earlier, Ishaq Dar had announced that participants and media representatives traveling for the talks would be granted visas on arrival, with airlines instructed to allow boarding without prior visas. The facilitation is aimed at ensuring smooth participation in what is being described as a landmark diplomatic engagement.

Pakistan is set to host high-level negotiations in Islamabad, following a fragile ceasefire after a six-week conflict that shook the Middle East and impacted global markets. The talks are expected to determine whether the temporary truce can evolve into a lasting peace agreement.

On the security front, Mohsin Naqvi reviewed arrangements and directed authorities to implement comprehensive security measures for visiting dignitaries. A high-level meeting focused on protocol, facilitation, and safety, with officials confirming that the Red Zone has been fully sealed and access restricted to authorized personnel. A central control room has also been established to coordinate operations.

Meanwhile, Islamabad Police issued a traffic advisory ahead of the arrival of foreign delegations. Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Sarfraz Virk announced diversions on key routes including Srinagar Highway and Expressway, urging citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and use alternative routes.

The American delegation will be led by JD Vance, alongside senior envoys, while Iran is expected to be represented by top leadership including Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Abbas Araghchi.

With Islamabad under heightened security lockdown and global attention fixed on the dialogue, the outcome of the talks will be critical in shaping the future trajectory of peace and stability in the region.
