Sukkur : The second and concluding day of the 2nd Sukkur Trade Exhibition & Seminars organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) was successfully held at IBA Public School on Sunday. The two-day exhibition held on February 14–15 showcased Sindh’s immense trade, business and export potential with a special focus on agriculture and agro-based products.
The exhibition opened at 9:00 am followed by the arrival of exhibitors, delegates and visitors. Exhibition booths remained open for the general public and delegates throughout the day attracting a large number of business representatives, entrepreneurs, students, and families.
A key highlight of the day was the Virtual Interactive Sessions with the Trade and Investment Officers (TIOs) from Bangladesh (Dhaka), Sri Lanka (Colombo), Japan (Tokyo), China (Beijing & Guangzou), the United Kingdom (Manchester) and other international missions participated virtually. The session provided local exporters and businesspersons with a valuable opportunity to explore international market access and strengthen trade linkages.
In the afternoon, the Agriculture & Horticulture Seminar titled “Transforming Pakistan’s Agriculture for Global Trade: Value Addition, Certification and Market Access” was organized by PHDEC. The seminar featured welcome addresses, expert presentations and interactive discussions with representatives from chambers of commerce, industry experts, and sector specialists. The session emphasized modern agricultural practices, value addition, compliance with international standards, and export certifications to enhance Pakistan’s competitiveness in global markets. The exhibition concluded with a Certificate Awarding Ceremony in the evening recognizing the participation and contributions of exhibitors and stakeholders. The 2nd Sukkur Trade Exhibition & Seminars officially concluded at 9:00 pm on a high note, reaffirming TDAP’s commitment to promoting regional trade, supporting SMEs and connecting local businesses with global markets.
The successful organization and enthusiastic participation demonstrated Sukkur’s growing importance as a trade and business hub in Sindh.
