Karachi: Kaukab Iqbal, Chairman of the Consumers Association of Pakistan (CAP), along with Abdul Salam Dadabhoy, Senior Vice Chairman CAP, hosted a prestigious luncheon in honor of Siraj Narsi, President of the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston (PAGH), USA. The event was held at the Karachi Gymkhana and brought together prominent social, business, and community leaders to celebrate cross-border community service and engagement.

The luncheon was attended by distinguished guests, including Abdul Hameed Bhutto, President of the Pakistan Excellence Club; Dr. Furqan Bilal, Chairman CAP Sindh; Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan, Senior Vice Chairman CAP Sindh; Imtiaz Pirzada from Dallas, USA; and Imran F. Speaking on the occasion, Kaukab Iqbal praised Siraj Narsi for his outstanding contributions to the Pakistani community in Houston. He highlighted Narsi’s tireless efforts in community welfare and fundraising for numerous charitable organizations in Pakistan, noting that such initiatives strengthen people-to-people ties and reflect a positive image of Pakistan internationally. “Siraj Narsi has been playing a vital role in uniting the Pakistani diaspora and supporting humanitarian causes back home,” he said.

Abdul Salam Dadabhoy expressed his gratitude and pride in hosting the luncheon, stating that it was a privilege for CAP to honor a leader who has consistently served the community. He further emphasized the strong relationship between Karachi and Houston, noting that both cities have been declared twin cities. “A large number of Pakistanis, particularly from Karachi, have migrated to Houston and are excelling in business and professional fields, proudly representing Pakistan and especially Karachi,” he added.

In his remarks, Siraj Narsi thanked the hosts for the warm hospitality and the grand luncheon arranged in his honor. He stressed the importance of community service regardless of geographic boundaries. “Whether we are in Pakistan or the United States, it is our human responsibility to look after our communities and contribute positively,” he said. He also shared insights into environmental initiatives, mentioning that in Houston the Pakistani community is actively involved in the ‘Greater and Green’ movement. He added that similar efforts are being supported in Karachi through tree plantation initiatives, including collaboration with the well-known ‘Tree Man,’ to promote environmental protection and address climate change.

At the conclusion of the event, Kaukab Iqbal and Abdul Salam Dadabhoy presented floral bouquets, traditional Sindhi caps, and Ajraks to Siraj Narsi and the guests from Dallas as a token of respect and appreciation. The gathering concluded on a warm note, reaffirming the shared commitment of overseas and local Pakistanis to community welfare, environmental sustainability, and stronger ties between Pakistan and the Pakistani diaspora.
