Karachi: ALFAAZZ, in collaboration with Darya Lab, hosted a full-day workshop titled “Nourish: Seeds of Change – Cultivating a Sustainable Plate and a Resilient Mind” at NIC Karachi as part of Climate Action Week.
The workshop brought together educators, students, practitioners, and climate-conscious individuals to explore the intersection of food systems, sustainability, mental well-being, and everyday climate action. Through interactive sessions and guided discussions, participants examined how mindful lifestyle choices can contribute to both environmental resilience and personal well-being.
The event was attended by distinguished guests including senior journalist Iqbal Jameel, Abdul Wali Khan from Green Minds Pakistan, and Shahroz Siraj , also known as Tree Man of Pakistan , as well as representatives from various universities who appreciated the workshop’s focus on practical, human-centered approaches to climate literacy.

Speaking at the event, Mr Jameel called the workshop “very constructive and objective “, and further remarked, “Climate change is a chronic problem faced by the entire world. Participating in this workshop felt really good, as the organisers did a wonderful job, educating the participants vis a vis environmental concerns session by session.”

The workshop was facilitated by trainers from Mindful Horizons, affiliated with ALFAAZZ, and featured three structured modules separated by reflection and networking breaks. Participants received e-certificates upon completion.
ALFAAZZ continues to advance its mission of leveraging education, digital access, and interdisciplinary learning to promote sustainable development and climate responsibility, in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
