Karachi : Spokesperson for the Sindh Government and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sadia Javed has said that the growing environmental crises are largely the result of housing societies built on natural riverbeds, which have severely disrupted the ecological system. She expressed these views while addressing the training program organized by the Women Media Center in Karachi as the chief guest.

Sadia Javed stated that the project to provide 2.1 million housing units is underway, with ownership being granted to women. She added that under the Benazir Income Support Programme, women are being equipped with various skills to ensure their economic empowerment. She further said that it was due to the vision of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto that the country witnessed the establishment of the first Women’s Bank and the first Women’s Police Station.

Speaking about artificial intelligence, she emphasized that women politicians must be extremely cautious in the age of AI, as it is a highly powerful tool and a single wrong sentence can damage a person’s credibility within seconds.

Discussing issues related to women, the Sindh Government spokesperson said that women must report any form of harassment or wrongdoing instead of remaining silent. She stressed that families should support them rather than suppress their voices, adding that this outdated mindset must be eliminated from society.

The Women Media Center recently conducted a five-day workshop, starting on November 26, titled “Media Manipulation and Political Influence in the Age of AI” Students from major universities across the city participated in the training, where journalism-related skills were taught. At the end of the program, Sadia Javed distributed certificates among the participants and appreciated the efforts of the Women Media Center.
