Dear Editor,
With great admiration, through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to highlight an important issue in our society today, “the fading art of conversation”. Once upon a time, people would spend meaningful hours sharing their stories, strengthening relationships, and helping one another through words. Sadly, in today’s age of digital distractions, we give more attention to screens than to people, forgetting the joy that comes from real human interaction.
Conversations not only bring happiness but also help in decision making, broaden perspectives, and reduce misunderstandings. They build trust and strengthen bonds, while the absence of dialogue leads to isolation and weaker social connections.
It is time we revive this forgotten art by listening with patience, speaking with empathy, and reconnecting with those around us. In doing so, we can create a more compassionate and understanding society.
