Karachi: Renowned Pakistani-American businessman and philanthropistr Dr. Anosh Ahmed, while congratulating the nation on Defence Day, paid rich tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the 1965 war, who always defended the country’s borders with unwavering faith and unmatched bravery.
On the occasion of Defence Day, a special float was prepared by the Anosh Foundation to honor the Pakistan Armed Forces. The float was decorated with pictures of the Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, other service chiefs, martyrs, and veterans. The float was paraded through different areas of Karachi. Documentaries related to the freedom movement were screened on the float, while speeches of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, along with national anthems and patriotic songs, were played, filling the atmosphere with a spirit of patriotism..
On this occasion, national flag badges, caps, biscuits, juice boxes, and other items were distributed among children. In connection with Rabi-ul-Awwal, Pakistan’s flags and badges were also distributed among the children. The air resounded with chants of Pakistan Zindabad and Pak Army Zindabad.
In his message, Dr. Anosh Ahmed said that September 6 is a day that reminds us of the indomitable courage and bravery with which the Pakistan Armed Forces defended the country. He emphasized that it is the duty of every Pakistani to play their part with unity for the stability and progress of the nation. He added that just as our brave forces showed extraordinary courage and commitment in 1965, they once again demonstrated unmatched bravery and dedication during Operation Bunyan Marsous in May 2025.
Dr. Anosh Ahmed further said that this day is not merely a commemoration but a message of courage and determination for future generations. “September 6 teaches us unity, sacrifice, and patriotism. The youth of today must build a brighter future for Pakistan through education, hard work, and strong character. Pakistan’s development and prosperity lie in our unity. When the nation moves forward together, no power can harm us,” he concluded
