Provincial Ministers, Investors, Diplomats, and Industrialists.

 

Karachi (26-06-2025) Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah congratulated Mozambique on the
completion of 50 years of independence and stated that increased trade ties between Pakistan and Mozambique will benefit both economies. He emphasized that investors from both countries should take advantage of bilateral investment and trade opportunities. He expressed these views while addressing a dinner hosted by Mozambique’s Honorary Consul General Sheikh Khalid Tawab at his residence last night.

The Chief Minister, along with other guests, cut the cake celebrating the 50th anniversary of Mozambique’s independence.
The event was attended by Provincial Ministers Saeed Ghani and Nasir Hussain Shah, Home Secretary Iqbal Memon, Karachi CCPO Javed Alam Odho, former Senate Chairman Mian Muhammad Soomro, former Sindh Governor and ex-Federal Interior Minister Lt. General (R) Moinuddin Haider, the son of Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori – Zaid Kamran Tessori, renowned investors Arif Habib, Jahangir Siddiqui, Bashir Jan Mohammad, Dewan Yousuf Farooqui, Zubair Tufail, FPCCI Senior Vice President Saqib Fayyaz Magon, Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir, Sultan Chawla, Abdullah Zaki, Rizwan Jafriani, Naseemullah Wala, Zahid Mazhar, Ikram Rajput, TDAP Secretary Shehryar Taj, Saad Tawab, Abdul Sami Khan, Malik Khuda Bakhsh, Ahmad Tawab, Danish Khan, Zubair Habib, Sheikh Umar Rehan, Tariq Haleem, Muhammad Taimoor Haleem, Ahmad Shah, Nadeem Ahmed Kashtiwala, Engineer Daroo Khan Achakzai,Syed Turab Shah, Ahmad Chinoy, Ishtiaq Baig, Haji Masood Parekh, Khawaja Qutub, presidents of various banks, and Consul Generals of Japan, Turkey, Oman, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Iran, Qatar, and Sri Lanka, along with several other diplomatic dignitaries. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah appreciated the message from the President of Mozambique and extended heartfelt congratulations to the people and government of Mozambique on this historic occasion. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening the friendship between the two countries.
During the event, Ibrahim Tawab read a special message from the President of Mozambique, which
emphasized global peace, harmony, and international cooperation, and extended Independence Day greetings to Mozambicans around the world.
Sheikh Khalid Tawab, who has been serving as Mozambique's Honorary Consul General in Pakistan since 1988, highlighted the historical relations between the two nations in his welcome speech. He urged Pakistani exporters and investors to seek opportunities in African markets, especially Mozambique. He shared that the Mozambican government is offering facilities such as tax exemptions, low electricity costs, and affordable industrial land to foreign investors.
The event reflected the strong friendship and diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Mozambique.
