Leaked Video Scandal Rocks Pakistan’s Social Media – Who’s Responsible?

Pakistan is witnessing a disturbing surge in vulgar and immoral content, with explicit videos and live sessions going viral across social media platforms. What began with leaked videos like that of Alizeh Sahar has now evolved into a broader culture of online indecency.

Platforms such as TikTok, Likee, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other live streaming services have effectively turned vulgarity into a business model. These platforms are now flooded with unethical content, where all boundaries of decency are being crossed.

This phenomenon is no longer limited to pre-recorded videos. During live sessions, inappropriate conversations, obscene gestures, and sexually suggestive talk are commonly broadcast — often in exchange for monetary gifts, coins, or digital rewards provided by viewers.

The recent leak of Alizeh Sahar’s explicit video is a stark example of this toxic digital culture, which is having a detrimental impact on the minds of young people across the country.

A growing number of content creators have emerged who regularly present explicit and vulgar material to thousands of viewers. Names such as Dr. Iman, Sufi Gujratan, Saba Shah, Tanzeem Hunjra, Billi Shilli, Shakeel Mehr, Sanzila Khan, Ayeza Khan, Khalil, Chacha Munir, Maryam, Nimra, Sumbal Malik, Sara, Malang, Sim Aizel, Senorita, Sheeba, Ali Bhai, Chand, Momi, Mahnoor, Waseem, Haider Shah, and Jia Rajput are among those reportedly involved in producing such content across various platforms — often driven by the lure of fame and financial gain.

These individuals not only showcase obscene performances but also entice young viewers during live streams, encouraging them to send digital gifts and cash equivalents as rewards — posing a serious threat to Pakistan’s family values and societal structure.

What’s even more troubling is the lack of decisive action. The government, platform authorities, and even parents seem to be turning a blind eye to this growing menace. Without proactive measures, the situation is likely to spiral further out of control.

The time has come for the state, parents, and digital experts to collaboratively develop a concrete and effective strategy to curb this moral decline. If this wave of obscenity continues unchecked, Pakistani society may plunge into a crisis from which recovery will be difficult.
