Karachi : ILMA University will host the two-day 5th International Media Conference starting on April 11, at its Main Campus in Korangi, Ibrahim Hyderi.
ILMA University, ranked second in Pakistan and first in Sindh according to the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, is organizing this major event under the theme: *“Combating Fake News and Climate Reporting in the Digital Era.”*
The conference will bring together a distinguished mix of academics, professors, research scholars, media experts, journalists, and leaders from the corporate sector. Keynote speakers include Senator Sarmad Ali, Asif Zuberi, Aafia Salam, Dr. Fahad Humayun (USA),Dr. Majid Ali (Germany), Zeba Bakhtiyar, Tofiq Pasha Mooraj. Additionally, renowned journalists such as Kamal Siddiqui, Naveed Hussain, Munzza Siddiqui, Shabina Faraz, Amber Rahim Shamsi, Syed Faisal Kareem, Areeba Fatima, Oonib Azam will share their insights on the evolving media landscape.
Prominent figures from various sectors, including Zeeshan Ur Rab Jaffry, Danish Rashdi, and Dr. Nuzhat Khan, will also address the audience.
The conference will be chaired by Professor Dr. Yasmeen Sultana Farooqui, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Design at ILMA University, with Registrar ILMA University, Syed Kashif Rafi and Director ORIC Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Subhani serving as co-chairs.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mansoor-ul-Zafar Dawood will deliver the welcome address.
