Gold prices in Pakistan soared to a new all-time high on Friday, following a sharp increase in international rates.
In the local market, the price per tola of gold surged by Rs4,700, reaching Rs314,000, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). Similarly, 10-gram gold was priced at Rs269,204, marking a rise of Rs4,030.

This follows Thursday’s increase, when gold per tola rose by Rs2,800.
The international gold price also saw an upward trend, reaching $2,988 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a $46 gain in a single day.
Meanwhile, silver prices also climbed by Rs90 per tola, reaching Rs3,530.
