PTDC & China Culture Center Discuss Promotion of Bilateral Tourism & Cultural Exchange

Mr. Chen Peng, Cultural Counsellor and Director of China Culture Center in Pakistan, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, met with MD PTDC Aftab ur Rehman Rana at PTDC Head Office to discuss the strengthening tourism cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Mr. Rana, welcomed the Chinese Cultural Counsellor at PTDC Head Office. Discussions focused on visa facilitation, developing affordable tour packages, improvement of facilitation at Pak-China Board at Khunjrab, enhancing B2B linkages in tourism sector, and organizing cultural exchange programs to promote tourism. MD PTDC highlighted the strong historical relationship between Pakistan and China. He also mentioned about good result of Pakistan’s participation in Beijing Travel Mart and SCO Summit on Tourism. Mr. Rana emphasized for the need to promote group tours through the registered tour operators to ensure safe and professional handling of tourists. Mr. Chen Peng emphasized the need for people-to-people exchanges and collaborative events in the coming years.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expand tourism ties and fostering cultural connections between Pakistan and China.
