ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has announced a major expansion of its Fast Track passport service, increasing accessibility across the country. Initially launched in seven major cities—such as Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta—the service was later extended to 21 cities. With the latest expansion, 26 more cities have been added, raising the total number of locations offering Fast Track services to 47.
The newly included cities are Attock, Haripur, Chakwal, Batkhela, Sargodha, Swabi, Bhalwal, Nowshera, Hafizabad, Karak, Mianwali, Mansehra, Bhakar, Muzaffarabad, Kohat, Mirpur (AJK), DI Khan, Bagh, Swat, Rawalakot (Pooneh), Abbottabad, Kotli, Bannu, Sudhanoti, Hangu, and Bhimber.
This initiative is aimed at enhancing public convenience by providing faster passport processing in more areas. The Directorate General has directed all regional heads to ensure the swift and efficient execution of these new services.
Furthermore, the Director (Databases) has been instructed to update the Passport Processing System (PPS) to reflect the inclusion of these cities under the Fast Track category.
The official notification, issued by Assistant Director (Policy-I) Hafiz Abdul Nasir, has been disseminated to key stakeholders, including the Director General of Pakistan Post, to ensure public awareness and smooth implementation of the expanded services.
