Karachi, October 24th 2024: Governor KPK Faisal Karim Kundi participated as the Special Guest at the POA Environment Commission Tree plantation Ceremony and 7th National Men’s Softball Championship 2024 at KPT Football Stadium on 24th October.
While addressing media persons at the event, The Governor termed sports and education vital for promoting positive image of the country. Moreover, he lauded the participation of women and youth in sports and termed it a good omen.
The Governor emphasize d the importance of all the sports and said that while cricket is a popular sport in the country and should be supported but other sports should also get due importance. After 18th amendment, it is provincial duty to support different sports, he added.
The Governor was pleased to see KPK team in the event and aimed to arrange such tournaments including PSL Matches in the his province.
Speaking about the KPK, he lamented that negative perceptions are attached with KPK but we aim to change the perception through sports events and for that we would invite Parliamentarians including KPK CM Ali Amin Gandupur to play friendly matches. Moreover, he also pledged to set political differences aside and work with KPK CM Ali Amin Gandupur for the betterment of the province.
At the conclusion of the event, the Governor planted a tree sapling at the stadium.
