Karachi,On October, 2024 : the Publican Alumni Association organized a dignified
ceremony to honor the former and current teachers of their Alma Mater on the occasion
of “World Teachers’ Day”. The ceremony was held at Isalam Hall Auditorium of FG
Minwala Public Girls High School. The chief guests at this occasion were the School
Teachers.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of former and current teachers
from both schools i.e. FG Public School Karachi Cantt and FG Minwala Public Girls
School, as well as Alumni of batches from 1961 to 2023. The participants praised the
organizers for holding the ceremony and paid tribute to the teachers’ tireless efforts and
dedication, which enabled them to reach this milestone. The alumni also expressed
gratitude to their teachers and paid homage to those who have passed away. At the
occasion the distinguished speakers highlighted the importance of Teachers and their
role also stressed that teachers should acquire proficiency in modern subjects to enable
students to play a positive role in Pakistan’s development and effectively address future
challenges.
The Publican Alumni Association presented commemorative shields to the
former teachers as a token of appreciation.
The Publican Alumni Association was revived under the leadership of Rear
Admiral (Retired) Tanveer Ahmed, Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military). Admiral Tanveer has the
distinction of being part of the school’s first batch to pass the matriculation exam in
1961.
Since its revival, the Publican Alumni Association has completed 12 projects
directly benefiting the school children of their Alma Mater. The Publican Alumni
Association will continue to strive to unite all its alumni from around the world.
