Balochistan: Zakir Baloch, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Panjgur, was tragically killed in an attack on Monday in Mastung District, Balochistan. He was traveling with District Chairman Malik Jan and Ahmed Jan on the National Highway near Khada-Kucha when their vehicle was ambushed by around 15 armed assailants.
The attack was swift and brutal. All three men were shot, and Zakir Baloch later died from his injuries at a nearby hospital. Malik Jan and Ahmed Jan were rushed to Quetta Civil Hospital for emergency care.
This incident is part of a troubling rise in violence in Balochistan, fueled by militant groups.
