Nepal: In a heartening display of bilateral cooperation, Abrar Hashmi, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, orchestrated the 12th Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Awards ceremony at a local hotel in Kathmandu. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Honorable Suresh Adhikari, Secretary of Education, Science, and Technology, representing the Government of Nepal, as the chief guest.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Hashmi presented scholarships to 180 deserving students hailing from 119 schools across Nepal. Each scholarship included a valuable laptop, aimed at empowering the recipients in their educational pursuits. Secretary Adhikari commended Pakistan for its steadfast support in the realms of technical and educational advancement, acknowledging the significant contributions made in this regard.
In his address, Ambassador Hashmi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to bolstering the partnership with Nepal, emphasizing the profound value attached to this enduring alliance. He highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in nurturing and celebrating the achievements of students, citing the Chinese proverb, “it takes a village to raise a child,” as a testament to the collective responsibility in fostering success.
The ceremony concluded on a note of optimism and camaraderie, underscoring the shared commitment towards enhancing educational opportunities and fostering mutual prosperity between Pakistan and Nepal.
