Competing against Vilnius (Lithuania), Torremolinos (Spain), and Gloucestershire (England), Turin’s bid is supported by Torino Pride, the city’s LGBTQ+ association.
The European Pride Organisers Association (EPOA) has confirmed the participation of these four cities in the bidding process, with the final decision to be announced on November 2nd. Turin’s candidacy aims not only to host a successful event but also to become a catalyst for LGBTQ+ rights and visibility in Italy.
Despite earlier concerns about sponsorship, Torino Pride has engaged in constructive dialogue with local institutions, including Governor Alberto Cirio.
