Karachi: Marta Women’s Football Club founder and president Rais Khan while congratulating FIFA World Cup 2023 winning team Spain, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, UK Football Federation President and others said that among 32 women’s football teams including 6 African teams were brilliantly fought for victory. Teams from Colombia, Morocco, and Australia shined bright with Impressive Performances.
FIFA and the host countries Australia and New Zealand made excellent arrangements for the matches. Football is the most played sport worldwide.
Rais Khan further said that there is immense talent in women’s football in Pakistan, but the facilities are not available to the players here, which are available in other countries including Europe.
He further said that the President of FIFA should take steps to promote football in Asian countries as well. There is immense talent here that needs to be further polished.
The desired results can be achieved by improving the condition of the football ground, increasing their number and providing facilities to the players.
He has demanded PFF Normalization Committee Chairman Haroon Malik take practical steps for the development of football in the country.
