Martin Dow Group Wins Five Global DEI Benchmark Awards
The milestone unit was a Ghazi 640 model, one of the company’s most widely recognized tractors, long associated with reliability and performance in Pakistan’s agricultural sector.
Established in 1983, the Dera Ghazi Khan plant has served as the backbone of Al-Ghazi Tractors’ operations for over four decades. Spanning 3.9 million square feet, the facility continues to play a central role in domestic tractor production, with more than 92% of components manufactured locally.
Company Chief Executive Officer Yasin Seker said the milestone reflects the trust placed in the company by millions of farmers across Pakistan.
He noted that each tractor represents improved livelihoods and strengthened agricultural productivity, emphasizing the company’s long-term commitment to supporting Pakistan’s farming community.
Al-Ghazi Tractors, a subsidiary of the Al-Futtaim Group and operating in technical collaboration with Case New Holland, has been manufacturing tractors tailored to local agricultural conditions for 42 years.
Pakistan’s agriculture sector employs nearly 40% of the workforce and contributes around 24% to GDP, with Al-Ghazi Tractors maintaining a nationwide distribution and after-sales network to support farmers in remote regions.
The company reaffirmed its vision of continuing to serve as a key driver of agricultural mechanization and rural economic development.
