The Institute of Gender Studies, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur organized a one-day workshop on How to Write a Research Paper? Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor presided over the concluding ceremony of the workshop.
Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said research and development implies progress and development because innovation and invention lead to establishment of progress nations. He suggested that in future the research on project designing may be conducted to apprise the Faculty Members how to prepare their research projects. He also appreciated the endeavors of Prof. Dr. Agha Nadia, Director Institute of Gender Studies for organizing such types of workshops.
Dr. Waseem Ishaque, Professor, National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad spoke as chief guest. He said it is the need of time to write research papers in terms of quality. He said that the basis of quality research papers depends on subject knowledge, independent research, focus on research methodology, selected target audience, field of specialization, he added.
Dr. Muhammad Khan, Professor, International Islamic University, Islamabad spoke as guest of honor. He said research culture may be promoted at large scale so we could contain the deep rooted issues i.e. Ethnicity, Sectarianism, Political Polarization in the society because these are the indigenous themes for research. He also appreciated the efforts of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto for promoting the research culture at the campus to equip the youth with research methodology and new trends of research.
Prof. Dr. Agha Nadia was the trainer of the workshop. She said research is the base and support for the ranking of the Universities. She suggested that a research institute as a separate entity may be established to embark the research independently. Dr. Agha Nadia remarked that the participants of the workshop learnt a lot regarding the new trends and methodology on how to write research papers. Such activities are an integral part of the Institute of Gender Studies.
Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences extended vote of thanks to the guests and participants. He said I am optimistic that the participants will utilize their skills in practical life regarding research.
The certificates were distributed among the participants of the workshop.
