Showbiz Desk: American born actress and model Nargis Fakhri have revealed that she took a break from acting due to peace of mind as she was not happy with her work.
In an interview with Indian media, 42 year old Actress revealed that she took a break from acting a few years ago to focus on her mental health.
At the time, Nargis Fakhri had just released more than one film and her career was going well, but she said that she decided to take a break because she was not happy. The actor has now returned to India and she will soon be seen in the film, which will be his first film after two years.
In acting careers Bollywood with the ‘Rockstar’ in 2011, Nargis has acted in films including; Madras Cafe, Main Tera Hero, and even the Hollywood movie “Spy”.
In 2016, she appeared in five films, including ‘Azhar’ and ‘Housefull 3’, but soon decided to return to his family in the United States.
Talking to the ETimes about the decision, Nargis said, “In March 2020, I had joined a 10-day meditation retreat, and when that ended, and I came out, I was shocked to see that life had come to a standstill. I had a ticket to come back to Mumbai in April 2020, but look at the irony, I was all set to take over the world, but the world had shut down.”
When asked about her decision to leave her Bollywood career and return to New York, Nargis revealed her mental health was not in the best condition.
Nargis Added, “Sometimes I realized that I was under a lot of work and stress. I missed my family and friends. I remember that 2016-2017 was a time of realization for me. I felt that I was not doing the things that made me happy.”
“I did one film after another and then I realized I needed to take a break, A lot of people are afraid of such a break because they think the industry will forget them until they return, but I believe that once, for your mental and physical health, it is important that you take a break,” she said.
Further, Nargis said, “My view is that you never lose, especially when you make time for yourself, to take care of yourself, and to know yourself.”
