Former Federal Minister Shirin Mazari attended a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Human Rights.
The meeting was chaired by Senator Waleed Iqbal and was attended by Federal Minister Faisal Sabzwari, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed and Secretary Punjab Ahmad Raza Sarwar.
“I am 70 years old and I am sick. The case is 50 years old,” Mazari told the meeting.
“I was stopped on Gomal Road, police were in uniform, I was told that a case had been registered against me,” he said.
The PTI leader further said that my phone was taken away, I was put in a white basket, when I said something happened to me you will not be released.
He said that he stopped my illness at the hearing cycle, he said that your medicine bag is coming.
Shirin Mazari said that after some time a servant came in a black suit and said that you have to do a check up, I refused to do my check up.
On this occasion, Federal Minister Senator Faisal Sabzwari said that I have said in the cabinet that 28 cases were registered against us in one day.
He said that only cases were registered for applauding the speech of the founder of MQM, you are lucky for whom the court remained open even at night.
Mushahid Hussain Syed said that it is not acceptable to raise a Member of Parliament like this. I am not satisfied with the response of anti-corruption. Waleed Iqbal, what happened to your parents is wrong.
During the meeting, Punjab Secretary Ahmad Raza Sarwar said that there was a case against Sherry Mazari and the arrest was made by anti-corruption. We arrested him under the law.
He told the meeting participants that the FIR was lodged in the last days of the previous government, in which the name of his father was not given to Shirin Mazari.
