Tom Cruise has become Hollywood’s most expensive actor, earning close to Rs 23 billion for the film Top Gun. While on the second place is Will Smith who took 8 billion rupees as compensation.
Tom Cruise, 60, who is not only the star of the Top Gun sequel but also its producer, earned billions from acting fees as well as ticket sales, streaming revenue.
Top Gun is Paramount’s highest-grossing $1.2 billion worldwide, and is also Tom Cruise’s first film to do so.
Top Gun has also become the 12th film in history to cross the $600 million mark at the domestic box office.
Will Smith is second on the list of highest-paid Hollywood stars, according to Variety’s figures, with a deal worth Rs 8 billion.
Will Smith was signed in June 2020 to star in the $35 million action thriller Emancipation, a 2023 release after being delayed.
Smith’s highest pay to date was for 2012’s Men in Black 3, which was $100 million.
