16 Exhibitors from Pakistan Participate, Consul General Shehzad Ahmad Khan Visits
Karachi: The three-day Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics has commenced in Shanghai, China, starting on Tuesday, August 27, and will continue at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) until August 29. Pakistan’s Consul General Shehzad Ahmad Khan visited the ITSA & Yarn Expo Autumn edition in China.
The ITSA & Yarn Expo, one of the world’s largest and most renowned apparel fabrics and yarn exhibitions, has kicked off with a spectacular start in Shanghai, China. This year’s edition marks a significant milestone, celebrating three decades of bringing together industry professionals and showcasing the latest innovations in the textile sector.
16 Pakistani exhibitors, participating both directly and through the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), are actively showcasing products such as cotton, denim, yarns, and more. Pakistani textile manufacturers and suppliers, including Kohinoor, Mahmood Textile, Global Textile, Diamond Fabrics, Reliance Weaving, Yarana Textile, and others, are attracting significant interest from global buyers and presenting their latest product ranges.
Pakistan has consistently been a key player at this expo, alongside countries like India, China, France, and Turkey. Pakistan’s Consul General, Shehzad Ahmad Khan, visited the show and praised the exhibitors. He also highlighted Pakistan’s potential and mentioned efforts to encourage more manufacturers to participate in international trade shows. Pakistan’s textile industry is being recognized for its quality, competitiveness, and ability to meet the evolving demands of the global market.
Mr. Syed Abedin Ahmed Rizvi, Senior Manager of Sales and Marketing at Indus Dyeing, expressed his views about the show, saying, “We are receiving a tremendous response from visitors from various countries. Messe Frankfurt’s platform is incredibly helpful, allowing us to connect with global customers who can’t visit us in Pakistan but can meet us here.”
Miss Aisha, Textile Designer at Diamond Fabrics, shared her perspective, stating, “We are having a great time here. The turnout is huge, and we are already receiving several orders and making valuable connections with potential clients. This platform has truly exceeded our expectations and provided excellent opportunities for growth.”
Many Pakistani trade visitors are also attending the fair to explore the latest trends in textiles.
