Islamabad : The UK-funded Accelerate-to-Demonstrate (A2D) Facility, launched by the UN Industrial
Development Organisation, has launched its first funding call for proposal.
The UK’s funding of £65.5m is part of its commitment to delivering pragmatic and tangible
action to tackle climate change. A2D aims to accelerate the commercialization of innovative
clean energy technologies in developing countries, including Pakistan, through funding pilot
projects that have the potential to have transformational impacts.
The A2D Facility currently focuses on supporting pilot demonstration projects of innovative
clean energy technologies in the following key thematic areas:
• Critical Minerals
• Clean Hydrogen
• Smart Energy
• Industrial Decarbonization
