Karachi witnessed two tragic road accidents today, resulting in the loss of two lives, according to national media reports on Monday.
According to a report by ARY News, the first incident happened near Ayesha Manzil when a speeding bus collided with the motorcycle of a married couple. The woman died on the spot while her husband was injured.
After the accident angry bystanders set fire to the bus after taking the passengers out of it safely. The family of the deceased woman has alleged that the police mishandled the case as the bus driver fled after being arrested.
Another incident took place when another speeding bus with a registered number AAT-395 crashed into a motorcycle on Abul Hasan Isphahani Road, killing a young man named Yasoob Hussain.
Yasoob, an up-and-coming cricketer who used to sell samosas on the side, was riding with his friend Mohsin at the time. The driver fled the scene, leaving Mohsin injured and receiving treatment in Abbasi Hospital.
