Khairpur ;The Ph. D Open Defense Seminar was held in the Institute of Chemistry, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur presided over by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto. Research Scholar Ms. Seema Sarwar Ghumro defended her Ph. D Research on the topic “Fabrication of Titana Based Nanostructures Composite and Potential Application in Photo Catalysis” under the supervision of Dr. Bhajan Lal and co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Tajnees Pirzada.
Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said that the research work of the scholar is highly commendable in the field of chemistry. The future scholars will be benefited from her research work. Dr. Ibupoto said that we are committed to provide congenial and conducive environment to the research scholars so they could embark their research according to modern lines.
Ms. Seema Sarwar Ghumro said the purpose of this study aimed at to remove the toxicity from waste water and effluent from the industrial waste at large for friendly environment as result, the adverse impact of the toxicity will be minimized.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Hussain Shar, Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences briefed about the academic and research development of the Faculty. He appreciated the research work presented by the scholar. He said her work will be valuable addition in the Institute of Chemistry.
Prof. Dr. Mushtaque Jakhrani, Director Institute of Chemistry commended the efforts of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto who is sparing his precious time to preside the Open Defense in order to check the research work to maintain quality and standard.
Research Experts Prof. Dr. Saima Memon and Prof. Dr. Ghulam Murtaza Mastoi from Dr. M.A Kazi Institute of Chemistry, University of Sindh, Jamshoro also appreciated the work presented by the scholar. They said that the scholar has conducted her research work in line with the eligibility criteria of Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. The work will be beneficial for academic and research development.
Dr. Bhajan Lal and Prof. Dr. Tajnees Pirzada, Research Supervisors shed light on the research work of the scholar. They said the work is scholarly and up to the mark. She has conducted her research with the spirit of devotion and commitment in fixed timeline.
Prof. Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh, Director Postgraduate Studies conducted the proceedings of the seminar. The Open Defense was declared as successful. A large number of teachers and research scholars attended the seminar.
