The ongoing war involving the United States, Israel and Iran intensified on Saturday, as missile and drone attacks spread across multiple countries in the region, raising concerns of a broader Middle East conflict.

Yemen’s Houthi movement claimed responsibility for launching a missile towards Israel — its first such attack since the war began. The Israeli military said the missile was intercepted near Beersheba, with no casualties reported.

In a significant escalation, Iranian strikes targeted a US military installation at Prince Sultan Air Base, leaving around 10 American service members injured. Iran-linked groups also claimed attacks on military sites in Jordan.

Across the Gulf, key infrastructure came under attack. Kuwait International Airport sustained damage to its radar systems, while Salalah Port reported limited damage to port facilities. Additional strikes were reported in Saudi Arabia.

Inside Iran, casualties continued to mount following US-Israeli strikes. At least 26 people, including women and children, were killed in Isfahan, while further attacks were reported in Zanjan and Tehran.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that Israel would pay a “heavy price” for targeting industrial and nuclear infrastructure, accusing it of acting in coordination with Washington.

The crisis around the Strait of Hormuz has deepened, with Iran effectively restricting shipping through the vital route, which carries a significant portion of global oil supplies. However, Thailand said it had secured safe passage for its oil tankers, suggesting limited negotiated access.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington expects to complete its military objectives in “weeks, not months,” while stressing the importance of keeping the strait open.

US President Donald Trump also raised concerns about the lack of support from NATO allies, signalling growing divisions among Western partners amid the conflict.
