MUZAFFARABAD, August 12, 2026 — Pakistan Independence Day celebrations are drawing expressions of patriotism and renewed commitment to national development from people across Azad Kashmir.
Representatives from different sections of society have congratulated the Pakistani nation and highlighted the sacrifices made for the country’s independence.
They described freedom as a precious blessing achieved through the sacrifices of millions of people.
The citizens said protecting that freedom should remain a collective responsibility.
Education and Character Building
People in Azad Kashmir stressed the importance of education and character building in preparing the younger generation for the country’s future.
They said young people should receive the skills, values and opportunities needed to make a meaningful contribution to national development.
Citizens also pledged to support economic and social progress through honest work, public service and lawful means of earning.
They said individual responsibility could play an important role in strengthening communities and improving living standards.
Tribute to Pakistan’s Defenders
The citizens also paid tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces and security personnel guarding the country’s borders.
They acknowledged the sacrifices of those serving to protect the nation and expressed appreciation for their commitment to national security.
Some participants also described the recently signed Makkah joint defence agreement as a symbol of unity, self-reliance and stronger defence cooperation among Muslim countries.
