Karachi: In a heartwarming ceremony held at Jama Masjid Abubakar Siddique Clifton,
Nusrat Trust for Special Children commemorated the International Day of Special
Children, bringing together prominent figures, activists, and dignitaries. The event
was graced by the presence of Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz, Caretaker Health Minister of
Sindh, serving as the chief guest, and Farhat Rasheed, Director of Westbury Group,
who presided over the gathering.

Among the distinguished attendees were Mufti Muhammad Mohiuddin, Chairman of
Nusrat Trust, Mufti Abu Bakr Mohiuddin, Vice Chairman, Mufti Abu Qadada
Mohiuddin, General Secretary, Haroon Chand, President of All Pakistan Jewelers
Association, Haji Rahmatullah, Haji Masood Parekh, and Dr. Abdul Jabbar.
In his address, Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz emphasized the need for societal balance through
equality and underscored the importance of comprehensive measures for the
welfare of special individuals. Expressing global concern over the presence of the
polio virus in Afghanistan and Pakistan, he called for collective efforts to address this
issue.
Farhat Rashid, in his speech, highlighted the exceptional abilities of special
individuals and advocated for concerted efforts to integrate them into society. He
shared personal experiences, acknowledging the crucial role played by his family in
his success.

Chairman Mufti Muhammad Mohiuddin unveiled an ambitious welfare project
spanning 5 acres in Malir. The project, set to become the largest in the city, will
feature a school, vocational training center, hospital, and various other facilities.
Mufti Mohiuddin stressed the importance of education for special children and urged
both the government and private sector to collaborate in providing them with the
necessary support.
The ceremony witnessed additional insights from Mufti Abu Qadada Mohiuddin,
Haroon Chand, Haji Rahmatullah, Haji Masood Parekh, Dr. Abdul Jabbar, and others,
who echoed the commitment to the cause.
Hundreds of disabled individuals and children participated in the event, with Nusrat
Trust distributing cash, wheelchairs, winter package blankets, and other essentials as
part of their ongoing support. The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the
organization’s unwavering dedication to their welfare.
Nusrat Trust’s event on the International Day of Special Persons served as a poignant
reminder of the collective responsibility to champion the rights and well-being of
