Pakistan: Today, Pakistan is coming together to honor Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on the 76th anniversary of his passing. The nation is reflecting on his enduring legacy and reaffirming its commitment to his core values of “unity, faith, and discipline.”
The day began with heartfelt prayers across mosques and worship centers, seeking peace for Jinnah and a prosperous future for Pakistan. Jinnah, who led the All-India Muslim League from 1913 and was instrumental in the creation of Pakistan on August 14, 1947, passed away on this day in 1948, shortly after the country gained independence.
Special programs on Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television are celebrating Jinnah’s monumental contributions to the nation. At Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, a Quran Khawani was held this morning, followed by prayers for the country’s development and unity.
Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, along with their cabinet members, visited Mazar-e-Quaid to lay floral tributes and offer prayers. They expressed their resolve to honor Jinnah’s vision by urging all Pakistanis to work together, putting aside differences to ensure the country’s progress and stability.
