Lahore ,May 14th, 2026 : H.E. Dr. Oumer Hussien Oba, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, has visited the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and engaged with the business community of Lahore to strengthen trade and investment relations between the two countries.
Upon arrival, a warm welcome was accorded to the Ambassador by Mr. Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol, LCCI President,along with Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh and Executive Committee Members of the Chamber.
The Ambassador while briefing the LCCI members about Ethiopia’s economy, investment landscape and incentives for investors, urged them to visit Ethiopia and explore the country which is a gateway for Africa.
Whatever you produce in Ethiopia, it can easily be sold across Africa and beyond, he remarked.
Highlighting a direct connectivity established by the Ethiopian Airlines between Ethiopia and Pakistan, he said it is high time for Pakistani investors to explore investment opportunities across various sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, mining, tourism and ICT.
President LCCI Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol said that African markets offer immense opportunities for Pakistani products and emphasized that exchange of trade delegations can significantly enhance bilateral trade.
He assured the Ambassador of his full support in strengthening economic linkages between the two countries.
